How to Recruit Some of the Toughest Recruits
With Guest: Scott Love
Scott Love is a leading expert in the field of recruiting and employee retention. With empirical research based on tens of thousands of individual conversations with professionals, he shows managers how to “be the boss nobody will leave.” He gives managers tactical ways to build employee loyalty so that companies will attract high achievers, decrease turnover, and boost morale.
Scott’s battle-tested theories result from over two decades of experience recruiting professionals. He has worked with corporate CEO’s, executives, and international law firm leaders in nearly every major city in the country to help them attract and recruit exceptional talent. Further, he built and sold a global recruiter training brand, which resulted in over 4,500 staffing and recruiting companies from 37 countries investing in his tools, books, programs, online offerings, consulting services, and training resources. From this experience, he has developed systems that get results for executives who want to build a high performing team.
In addition to speaking professionally at business conferences, Scott actively engages sophisticated professionals as the founder of The Attorney Search Group, a legal recruiting firm that recruits partner-level attorneys for international law firms in Washington and New York. As his core focus is recruiting high-level professionals, his expertise is unparalleled on the topics of recruiting, retention, and employee motivation.
Scott is a published author (Why They Follow: How to Lead with Positive Influence), a business writer, a professional keynote speaker, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Huffington Post, Selling Power Magazine, and dozens of business trade journals and newspapers around the globe.
As a leadership trainer during his shore-duty tour as a naval officer, he trained thousands of officers, senior enlisted and civil service workers on progressive leadership concepts. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and lives in Washington, DC. He is a professional watercolor artist, an amateur stand-up comedian, and is married with two children and a puppy named Ruby.
Love is a member of the National Speakers Association, a board member of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants, a foundation board member for the Washington Rotary Club, and an advisory board member for Protect Our Defenders, an advocacy group that is committed to ending the epidemic of sexual violence in the military.
